U.S. Mint Sets
In 1947 the United States Treasury Department started packaging and selling complete sets of uncirculated coins for that year. Every set has at least one coin of each denomination from all of the issuing mints.
Mint sets have long been an excellent way for the beginning coin collector to have one of every coin for any given year in mint condition.
The recent market for Mint sets and Proof sets is at an all time low. They are great to collect, but don’t count on them to increased much in value
